Main Event Tag Team Match
Juggernaut & Dirk Feelgood vs. Bubblegum & El
Ligero |
Hubba
Bubba Lucha once again join forces in what could well be
one of their most important outings. They take on former
GPW Heavyweight Champion Dirk Feelgood as he teams with
the man who took out both members of Hubba Bubba last month
- the heavyweight monster, Juggernaut. Alan Taskers' man,
Juggernaut has recently made his intentions clear as he
took out Ligero in January and tried to do the same last
month to Heavyweight Champion Bubblegum. It was the returning
Ligero who made the save and both he and Bubblegum made
the challenge to the dangerous alliance of Feelgood &
Juggernaut. Feelgood is of course no stranger in this match,
it was he who has been involved in a long and bitter feud
with former best friend Bubblegum over the Heavyweight Championship.
What will happen in this first time ever huge main event!?
One
On One
Joey Hayes vs. Martin Kirby |
Since Kirby's arrival in GPW earlier this year, there has
been one man he has wanted to test his skills against, and
this month he gets him one on one. For years before breaking
into the business, Kirby followed the career of Joey/Joseph
Hayes. On many occasions during his development into a pro
it was Hayes who gave him guidance and helped him along
the way. Now in the same promotion where Hayes made his
name, and currently holds the Tag Team Trophy along with
partner "Dangerous" Damon Leigh, Kirby gets to
test his skills against a man he has looked up to for years.
The GPW faithful have taken Kirby into their hearts and
there's not many men more popular in the Ballroom than Joey
Hayes, but how will the crowd react to two fan favourites
going at it? And more importantly, who'll leave the victor?
Non
British Title Warm Up Match
"Super" Sam Bailey vs. William Gaylord |
The
contract has been signed, Sam Bailey's GPW British Title
will finally be defended next month, Saturday April 18th
at GPW: "SlamJam" against No.1 Contender Juice.
However, as per the contract, there has to be warm up matches
for each competitor first. Reigning British Champ, "Super"
Sam Bailey has been pitted against a newcomer fresh off
a debut victory - William Gaylord. Gaylord made his debut
last month in very impressive style and caught the eye of
many. His technical British style mixed with a ruthless
hard hitting array of moves will certainly test the champ
in this non-title encounter. Can Gaylord really cement his
arrival on the roster with a win, or can Bailey overcome
the newcomer?
British
Title Warm Up Match II
Juice vs. Ricky J. McKenzie |
The
No.1 Contender for the British title, Juice also has a warm
up match ahead of his title match against Sam Bailey on
April 18th. He too has been pitted against new comer, Ricky
J. McKenzie. McKenzie lit up the Ballroom with unrivalled
energy on his debut last month as he battled Gaylord. Although
unsuccessful in his first ever match, with his flashy, high
flying moves McKenzie looked the part and gained the plaudits
immediately thus marking his arrival onto the roster with
style and authority. However, in only his second pro match
he'll have to face the CC-2008 winner and No.1 Contender
for the British title - Juice. Going into his title shot
next month, Juice has assembled a group of personal trainers
and dietitians to assist him in every step toward the gold
and you can bet they wont be far away for this match. Can
RJM cause an upset for Juice on his path to gold?
Eastern Surprise The leader of the Eastern Bloc, Jac Domitrescu
has promised a treat at GPW: "Livin' On The Edge".
What do the boys from the Bloc have up their sleeve this
time? Only one way to find out!
Mil-Anfield Explode!
Jiggy Walker vs. Danny Hope |
It's
here! The Mil-Anfield explode! Many thought it wouldn't
happen, but the match between the two former tag team trophy
holders happens at Livin' On The Edge! The most successful
tag team in GPW history go at it one on one in this first
ever match. Problems with the team started when reigning
Tag Team Trophy holders, The Young Offenders began to get
the better of them and when they eventually beat them for
the trophy in December, the team imploded. Last month the
two had to be separated by members of roster, referees and
security staff, but now the two cannot be contained any
longer. There's enough hate between these two to set the
Ballroom on fire, but who will come out alive?
Four
Corners No.1 Contenders Tag Team Trophy Match
Lethal Dose vs. The Mystics vs. Heresy and ? vs. The
Gentleman's Club |
Four
teams will fight it out in a elimination rules match to
determine the No.1 Contender for the Tag Team Trophy. Both
Lethal Dose & the new team of The Great Suzuki and Voodoo,
to be known as The Mystics are the first two teams selected
for this unique match. Lethal Dose are a well oiled team
and have had their sights set on gold for some time now.
The Mystics are a relative unknown as a team, but this could
be the surprise element needed to win this match.
"Gentleman" Jervis Cottonbelly & the newly
sober & employed Mike Holmes have joined forces to form
the "Gentleman's Club". This new team have chosen
the 4-way at Livin On The Edge to make their debut and have
their eyes set on the No.1 Contendership. As the resident
GPW drunk, success has previously escaped Holmes, but he
is certainly no stranger to tag team wrestling having tagged
with his brother, Rupert in the Holmes Bros. Cottonbelly,
who is aiding Holmes in his quest to become the perfect
gentleman has enjoyed singles success before. But how will
these two perform as a team? Can they shock the roster and
overcome 3 other teams on their debut outing?
The final team to be entered into this No.1 Contenders 4-way
still remains a mystery. All we are told is that one of
the team members will be Heresy. For months we've heard
the haunting and maniacal mutterings of a man who has said
he has lost everything. But, it was last month that Heresy
warned us all that "he's coming, he's coming, he's
coming" and that he'd be bringing someone in to help
him in his struggle. A new recruit, a new beLIEver. Who
could it be? With a proven track record of being able to
brain wash and influence, who could "he" be? And
do this mystery team stand a chance of winning?
Also in attendance once again will be Miss North West! So,
