Mil-Anfield Challenge "The Model" Danny vs. El Ligero

The opening contest was the first of what would be many new matches to take place in GPW during the night, the first match between El Ligero and “The Model” Danny Hope. The action was thick and fast in this one, as the two exchanged various moves trying to get the win.

In the end Danny Hope pinned El Ligero countering an attempted sunset flip similar to the finish of the famous Bret Hart versus British Bulldog match at Summer slam 1992.

Danny Hope had been successful in the first Mil Anfield challenge but would his tag team partner (Jiggy Walker) also achieve victory later in the night?
