Blindfold Match for the British title: DDL def Mark Kodiak via dq
(Kodiak removed his blindfold and the ref saw it)

After months of waiting it was finally time for the match we had been waiting months for Kodiak versus Damon Leigh with the British title on the line.

The match got off to a slow start as both men struggled to find their opponent almost lashing out at the referee on a few occasions.

In the end Kodiak threw the rule book out the window and removed his blindfold and began to attack Damon who still had his on. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell and award the match to DDL via disqualification.

Winner and STILL British Champion (via disqualification) “Dangerous” Damon Leigh
DDL was not satisfied with this disqualification victory, he wanted to settle the score one on one via pin fall or submission.

Grabbing the microphone, DDL challenged Kodiak to a singles match with the British title on the line. Kodiak rejected the proposal and began to head back to the locker room until Damon turned his back to Kodiak, seizing the opportunity Kodiak returned to the ring and attacked DDL from behind. The bell sounded and the match was back on!

This match more then lived up to the hype as both gave everything they had to try and leave Wigan with the British title belt around their waist.

One example of this in action occurred when Kodiak attempted to crush DDL with his own finisher, the moon sault, but DDL moved out of the way at the last second.

In the end, the moon sault did come in to play once more as DDL connected with his version to get the match winning three count.
