Challenge : Jiggy Walker vs. Dirk Feelgood
|
In the second of what was dubbed The Mil Anfield
challenge, Jiggy Walker faced fan favourite Dirk
Feelgood. Both men were coming fresh off big wins
at the previous event when the Mil Anfield Connection
defeated the Holmes Brothers in Hardcore Hair
versus Hair thanks in part to Jiggy’s devastating
double stomp on Mike Holmes whilst Dirk had defeated
his nemesis Johnny Phere. Dirk also had an additional
advantage going in to the bout, whilst Dirk had
competed regularly in singles and tag team competition,
Jiggy had primarily been tagging with Danny Hope
having had his last singles match at Wanted back
in March and this was a factor in the early going.
Eventually though Jiggy regained control using
various moves such as a European uppercut while
Dirk was hanging on the bottom rope and the Boss
Man slam, the signature move of the late Big Boss
Man Ray Traylor.
Yet these moves were not good enough to get
the win, Feelgood pinned Jiggy Walker after an
Anaesthetic (neck breaker into a DDT) leaving
the Mil Anfielders at 1 win and one loss.
Winner: Dirk Feelgood
