GPW - “Salvation Is Here”.
The 6 th installment of GPW's Friday Night
Dynamite series . |
Friday 7th July 2006
Venue: Monaco Ballroom, Hindley.Wigan
The fall out from last months “Friday Night
Fever” has given us our first ever Double
Main Event, and here are the two title matches:
After turning his back on WKD to join SIN there
are many unanswered questions surrounding Juice.
Some of which will be answered this Friday in
a tag team match. Fellow SIN member Joseph Hayes
puts his undefeated singles winning streak on
the shelf this month to team up with Juice to
take on the 3 remaining members of WKD - D’Lyrium
and Elroy who will have Roxi in their corner.
"The Model" Danny Hope challenges
one of the most popular men on the GPW roster
- Mexican Wrestling Sensation - El Ligero. With
both men coming into the match with a win behind
them both having been involved with tag team matches
last month, they will have somewhat of a point
to prove.
Fellow Mil-Anfield-er Jiggy Walker makes a challenge
to the one and only - Monk Of Funk - Dirk Feelgood.
With both men taking huge amounts of punishment
last month on their way to victory, who knows
what lengths they will go to this time around.
Number 1 Contender Mark Kodiak finally gets
his shot at fighting champion Damon Leigh, but
this will be no ordinary match. Kodiak has stalked
DDL since April with sneak attacks and even going
to such lengths as throwing a fireball and temporarily
taking DDLs sight. DDL responded last month by
throwing a fireball back at Kodiak. The two men
can’t be kept apart any longer and possibly
the hottest feud of the year will come to an end
at “Salvation Is Here” with the title
on the line in a first ever Blindfold Match!

The GPW Tag Team titles complete the trio of
championships on the line this month. Project
Ego still stand by what they have said since winning
the titles - they have nothing left to prove to
the 3 teams they defeated to become the first
ever Tag Team Champs and will not face any of
them again. However, young guns Sudden Impact
are more than up to the challenge. Paddy D and
Chris DiAblo who faced Mark Kodiak in a handicap
match last month challenge Scotty Hexx and Kris
Travis to their Tag Team Gold. Two young and hungry
teams in this match, we may well see an upset.
After dodging his way out of last months match
by attacking Bubblegum with a brick before the
match had started Heresy is forced into defending
his title against the Number 1 contender and Rumble
winner the mega popular Bubblegum. With hand picked
Lumber Jacks at ringside there will be no escape
this time. Can Bubblegum upset the champ?
