Grudge Match : Dirk Feelgood. defeated Johnny Phere

Match 7: Dirk Feelgood versus Johnny Phere
This match was the culmination of a feud that started just over a year ago when Phere first arrived in GPW and beat down Feelgood after one of his matches. Since then the two have clashed on several occasions, most recently, Phere eliminated Dirk from the Rumble at A Few Good Men despite him no longer being legal in the match. So this match was set to finally settle the score once and for all and it did not disappoint.

Both men also have a history outside of GPW as they have trained together in Stoke on Trent and have faced off in several other promotions so the match started with a feeling out process with neither man willing to give up the advantage. Phere eventually took control working over Dirk’s back until Dirk made a heroic comeback. In the closing moments, the referee was knocked down and Phere used Heresy’s bible
as a weapon but Dirk kicked out right before the 3 count. With the odds no longer looking good for Phere he was easy prey for Dirk’s patented finisher, the Anaesthetic (neckbreaker DDT) and Dirk got the pinfall as the crowd erupted.
