GPW: "Battlefield" will take place on Friday May 6th at The Monaco Ballroom, Atherton Rd. Hindley, WN2 3EU and if you've not seen what everyone else is talking about - it's about time you got on board! Whatever you need to do to get there, come and join us in the "Battlefield". Tickets are only £7.50 per person or £26 for a family of 4, large groups, special occasions all catered for.
Here's who'll be doing battle on May 6th:

Grudge Match Main Event:
Bubblegum vs. Ligero

The duo that once formed the formidable team of Hubba Bubba Lucha will face off one on one for the first time in Grand Pro Wrestling in an epic "Battlefield" main event!
Problems between the two have been brewing for some time but it was at "Back With A Bang 2011" when they really escalated. Bubblegum's interference cost Ligero the chance to become the No.1 Contender to the Heavyweight Championship in his match against William Gáylord. Ligero however was able to gain a measure of revenge at the end of the show as he prevented Bubblegum delivering a beatdown on Joey Hayes. The two squared off in the tag match the following month as Ligero and Joey Hayes took on Dirk Feelgood and Bubblegum but still the issue was far from settled, after the match Bubblegum delivered a beatdown to Ligero whilst his fellow MasterPlan members joined in. At "Only The Strong Survive 2011" it came down to Bubblegum and Ligero as the final two survivors. After blatant interference from his bodyguard, Jason Logan, who powerbombed Ligero and assisted Bubblegum to the top rope to deliver his finishing Dirty Double Stomp, Bubblegum won the match and was declared the sole survivor.
The two set the Ballroom on fire and excited everyone in attendance with back and forth near fall action in the final stages of their "Only The Strong Survive" match. You can bet that this one on one meeting at "Battlefield" will be every bit enthralling again and rival any MOTY you'll find anywhere! These two just plain don't like each other, but who can get the all important win? Bubblegum is backed up by his MasterPlan cohorts and his huge imposing bodyguard, Jason Logan but Ligero will bound to be backed up by his allies in the fight against the MasterPlan. The Monaco Ballroom will certainly be turned into a Battlefield when finally El Ligero and Bubblegum go one on one for the first time ever in a GPW ring! You can't afford to miss this!!

Heavyweight Title:
DDL (c) vs. Cyanide

For over 12 months now Cyanide has walked a destructive path. A path that has become more terrifying and powerful with every step he has taken. Undefeated and with no signs of anyone being able to stop the man monster's path has lead him directly to the Grand Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion - "Dangerous" Damon Leigh. Now, with the aid of his crafty manager, Alan Alan Alan Tasker - Cyanide has his first shot at singles gold in GPW.
DDL may have been in Cyanide's cross hairs even before he won the belt. At "Only The Strong Survive 2010" it was a Cyanide killing spree that eliminated Danny Hope, Sam Bailey and DDL himself from the match and at "Only The Strong Survive 2011" it was Cyanide again who eliminated the champ. Never before has DDL met a challenge like this, over 300lbs of undefeated hungry monster, add Alan A.A Tasker into the mix, who Damon has unsettled business - and you've got an explosive concoction. Can Cyanide wear singles gold for the first time? Does DDL have what it takes to topple the heavyweight and overcome the sneaky tactics of manager Alan Tasker? Or will Cyanide's path of destruction continue? This is bound to be an epic battle with the richest prize in Grand Pro Wrestling on the line!

GPW British Title 30 Minute Iron Man 3-Way:
Zach Diamond vs. Jack Gallagher vs. Mikey Whiplash

Zach Diamond faces his biggest challenge yet as the British Champion, after successful defences against Mikey Whiplash and former champion CJ Banks in singles matches he now prepares to take on two of his closest adversaries in a 3-way battle for the title, but this isn't just any 3-way - this will be a 30 Minute Iron Man 3-way!!
It was Whiplash who took Diamond to the limit in a MOTYC at "Live & Let Die" and although was eventually unsuccessful, he outlasted both Diamond and Gallagher in the "Only The Strong Survive" match and was named sole survivor Diamond himself won the title in a 3-way come 4-way Scramble match after he was added to the contest toward the end by Jack Gallagher. Gallagher defeated Diamond in their MOTYC Roster Place vs. Free Agent at "Only The Strong Survive 2010" with a handful of tights and eliminated him from this years "Only The Strong Survive" match via the same fate. For the first time these 3 men will contest the British Title in a 30 Man Iron Man Match, can Zach keep winning? Will Mikey lift the title on his second attempt? Can Gallagher defeat Diamond again?

GPW Tag Titles No Holds Barred Match:
Paradise Lost vs. McKenzie & Bailey

A bitter rivalry that has dominated the last 9 months of the tag team division looks set to reach a climax at "Battlefield". Reigning GPW Tag Team Champions, Paradise Lost have defeated every single team that has come up against them and are quick to reel off the list of challengers that have fallen. The list reads like this: Young Offenders, Roberts & Valour, Eastern Bloc, Vitamin C and The Mystics. All the fallen teams have faded into the past and have never been seen as a team since. No tag team in GPW have ever dominated the division as much as Kastor LeVay and Heresy, will their reign continue? They have pulled nearly every trick in the book to get away from their No.1 Contenders but on May 6th there will be nowhere left to run.

It was 12 months ago at "A Few More, Good Men" when they won back the titles they had briefly lost to The Mystics in a brutal No Holds Barred encounter. The match was so brutal that one member of The Mystics, Voodoo, has never been seen since. However, that hasn't stopped Bailey & McKenzie as it was they who made the challenge to Paradise Lost in the very match that had seemingly ended the career of Voodoo and issued a challenged to a fight they made famous - a tag team No Holds Barred match! 12 months on from the first NHB, can Bailey & McKenzie do what no other team has managed to do thus far and defeat the tag team champions? Or will Bailey & McKenzie be added to the list of fallen teams?

North West Rookie League

With the North West Rookie League really gaining momentum, what will happen next?
In its last instalment we saw the two team captains, Axl Rage and Great Suzuki do battle in a singles match. After agreeing to Axl's terms the two fought over the right to use what has proven to be an ace up the sleeve of Suzuki's team - Ste "Bin" Man. The outlined rules stated that if Suzuki won, Axl would allow the singles match between his monster, Jason Logan and Suzuki's hugely popular Bin Man to take place next month. If he lost however, Bin Man would not allowed to be selected the following month at all. With assistance from Logan, Axl won the match meaning that Bin Man is put on the sidelines for a month but who are we going to see in action next?
The scores remain one a piece as both teams have lost a member each. Action Jackson for Suzuki and Ken-Zen for Rage, whoever gets a victory next will take the lead. Who will wrestle and in what kind of match? We will find out on May 6th at GPW: "Battlefield".

One On One:
Danny Hope vs. Bruce Sheila

A rivalry that has been brewing since the start of 2011 finally comes to a head. Sheila started his year by making unprovoked verbal assaults at Danny as he made it his mission to mock him as much as he could. What Danny had done to deserve this kind of treatment is still a mystery, but perhaps it was what Danny didn't do that has fanned the flames of this now serious issue. Danny chose to ignore the attempts by Sheila, not even acknowledging him. The first response from Danny was in the corm of a CatWalk Kick that eliminated Sheila from the match at "Only The Strong Survive".
However, Sheila's blatant interference after his elimination directly lead to Danny's own elimination and that means that Danny can ignore him for no longer. Sheila has the attention of the former GPW Tag Team Champion and now the two will meet for the first time ever one on one. Who will be the one with their hand raised at the end of the night? Can Danny teach Sheila a lesson and shut his trap for good? Or will the arrogant Aussie be the one bragging at the end?

Also scheduled to be at GPW: "Battlefield" are, The MasterPlan, Joey Hayes, Prof. Mike Holmes, Martin Kirby, Dylan Roberts, and more!
