The first to qualify
for the tournament at "Keep The Faith" in one
of GPWs contenders for MOTY overcoming 3 other competitors
- "Super" Sam Bailey, Rupert Holmes and "The
Model" Danny Hope. With the huge backing Bubblegum
has from the fans it could well spur him on to do great
things in this tournament. But will personal rivalries stand
in the way? Two members of SIN already in this tournament
Bubblegum will be bound to be a target for them.
One of the most loved
wrestlers on the UK scene Ligero has faced them all, he was
the second man to qualify after beating very tough opposition
in Kenzo Richards. Ligero has proved before he has the stamina
to go all the way in a tournament designed for cruisers like
him. Going into the tournament with no personal rivalries
will also help him remain focussed on advancing and has to
be considered as one of the favorites to be crowned champion.

**"The
Model" Danny Hope** |
Entry
into the CC8 meant so much to The Model he cheated his way
into the Last Chance Battle Royal under a mask as "Fashion
Dan" and won the match to qualify for the tournament,
he then cheated Darkside in a singles match to keep his place
in the tournament. His resourcefulnes make him another strong
favorite to go on to surprise many in this tournament.
Overcame
9 others in his debut to win the Last Chance Battle Royal
only to be cheated out of the win by Danny Hope. In the singles
match that followed Darkside fought once again for a place
in the tournament, and Hope again cheated him out of it but
Darksides impressive debut was enough for me to allow him
to advance. He is an unknown in the GPW ranks, whoever he
faces will struggle to contain him.
The final man to qualify
in another MOTY candidate against Spud which had everyone
in the Monaco on their feet for the duration. A very testing
qualification but Hayes still remains undefeated and to many
he will be the favorite in a tournament where just another
3 wins to be crowned champion will be nothing new to him.
Take into consideration fellow SIN member being in the tournament
too and Hayes could well be sitting pretty. The luck of the
draw will also play a very important factor into any advances.
What will SIN do if Hayes draws Juice?

One half of the GPW
Tag Team Champions - Kris Travis was one of the Wildcard
picks into the tournament and is the only man going into
the competiton already with a championship. Coupled with
the fact Travis will be well rested going into this - he
could well be leaving with another championship to his name.
We've seen him peform beyond all expectations in the Rumble
as my personal M.V.P earlier this year, so we know he has
the staying power to go all the way!
Currently
one of the best kept secrets in British wrestling Juice
is another Wildcard entry. Another relatively unknown as
a singles performer in this competition. After turning on
D'Lyrium and leaving WKD to join SIN Juice will have the
backing of all his stable mates. His offence is strong and
relentless and winning this tournament would give him the
platform as one of the UKs best up and coming stars.
| **"The
Tremendous" Emil Sitoci** |
|
The final Wilcard
entry, Sitoci makes his GPW debut in the CC8 competiton
and comes to us with a huge pedigree having wrestled for
PWG, IWA:Mid South, CZW, CHIKARA, NAWE Sports, FCW, wXw,
CCW, BBW, wZw with a whole host of other promotions across
America and Europe. Having won cruiserweight titles already
with FCW and wXw Sitoci comes to GPW to lay claim to the
CC8 Championship. Sitoci is a complete unknown in this tournament
and has to be considered a favorite to go all the way.
The Quarter Final draws will take place on the evening itself.
As well as the CC8 finals there is more action yet to be
added to this card!
This is our final show of the year and the best tournament
you will see all year. 8 men, 1 winner, 1 night. Who will
it be? Don't miss out, be there!
