MAIN EVENT Match
7: Bubblegum vs Mark Kodiak
Before the main event got underway, Heavyweight Champion
Dirk Feelgood made an appearance to update the fans
on his condition. He said his wrist was still broken
but he should be able to return to action in a few
weeks time. With that said, he announced that at the
May show, name TBC there would be a 4 on 4 Survivo
Series Match. Dirk would captain one team and Mark
Kodiak the other.
Dirk said he
had already chosen 2 of his team members, Darkside
and Bubblegum and wanted the third to be DDL. He then
asked for DDL to come to ringside amd give Dirk an
answer. DDL was still unsure, holding the British
title in one hand and the SIN shirt in the other,
Dirk said he could wait. Meanwhile, Mark Kodiak hit
the ring and attacked Dirk, injuring Dirks wrist further
but fortunately for Dirk, Bubblegum made the save
and the Main Event Grudge match was on.
Bubblegum put up a valiant effort against the Grizzly
Renegade but this was Kodiaks night and despite the
support of the fans, Bubblegum was unable to keep
Kodiak down for long. In the closing moments, Kodiak
hit a gorilla press into a powerslam that shook the
ring but his next act or acts as it turned out would
shock the Monaco Ballroom to its core. Kodiak set
up Bubblegum in the corner and went for the Grizzly
Bomb and connected.
The fans watched
in horror at the sickening sound made when the GB
hit and Bubblegum lay motionless, the 3 count was
academic. Not content with just 1 GB however, Kodiak
hit another, the sound even worse, the pain even more
excruciating the second time and Bubblegum was now
unconcious as the fans stood in shock. Kodiak then
covered Bubblegum for the win.
Winner: Mark KodiakKodiak had made a statement to
the Champion and with DDL's allegiance still unknown,
Team Feelgood is in for a rough time going into the
Series Challenge in May
