Match 6: Joseph
Hayes vs Chris Echo
Echo was keen to show us all how he had put the past
behind him and ready to take the next step in his
career with a win over Hayes. These 2 provided us
with the wrestling clinic match of the night before
Echo cleared Hayes from the ring with a springboard
missle dropkick.
Once Hayes returned
the battle was back on as Echo looked for the upset
getting a few pinfalls and surviving some of Hayes
big moves like the Blue Thunder Driver. In the closing
moments, Hayes caught Echo and went for the GI Joe
but Echo escaped and tried for a Victory Roll. However,
Hayes countered the pin attempt maunevering himself
so Echo was the one being pinned and then decided
to put his feet on the ropes for illegal leverage.
Hayes clearly
underestimated Echos resilence on this night having
to cheat and sneak out with the win, Echo could very
easily have beaten Hayes in this encounter and will
certainly be one to watch in 2007.
