British Title Match: Zack Diamond vs. Juice
Diamond Does The Double & Ends An Era For Banks
Reigning GPW British Champion, Zack Diamond took on former
British Champion and the formerly undefeated "Juice"
CJ Banks. Banks had held the title for 13 months having
won it in October 2009 from "Super" Sam Bailey
and only losing it in a 3-Way Scramble Match in November
2010 where he wasn't himself pinned and the winner hadn't
even been an announced participant in the match. He had
a right to be angry, and a right to a re-match but Zach
Diamond would ensure that things wouldn't go back to the
way Juice had been used to before. There is a new gun
in town and his name is Zach Diamond.
Juice wasted little time at the opening bell of the contest
to get straight into action, but Diamond was able to counter
his ground based offence and as a result, the crowd fell
in love with him all over again. Never before had the
crowd seen Juice be matched on the mat like Diamond matched
him, but it didn't last. Soon we saw a familiar sight
as Juice began to stamp his measurable authority on the
match. German suplexes, back suplexes, strikes and unrelenting
blows had the crowd wondering if we'd see a second reign.
The punishment continued for Diamond, but he never looked
like giving up and the crowd stayed with him. Eventually,
much like he'd won the title, he rolled Juice up for a
3 count out of nowhere and won the match on his first
defence to retain the British Title. Post match Juice's
anger was plain to see. Angry and inconsolable at the
loss, Juice reluctantly, eventually, took his leave. Will
we ever see him the same again?

No.1
Contenders Match: Ligero vs. Gáylord
Bubblegum Gifts Gáylord The Win
William Gáylord returned to GPW after almost 12
months away in arguably his most high profile match to
date as he took on El Ligero to determine who the No.1
Contender to DDL's Heavyweight Title is. El Ligero began
by mocking Gáylord, wearing his robe and using
his innovative evasive manoeuvres to escape an angry Gáylord.
The crowd jeered the so called "Gent from Kent"
with familiar chants of "Gaaaaaaaaylord! Gaaaaaaaaylord!"
but he was unphased by the adverse reactions in Hindley
and got on top of Ligero with some punishing mat based
offence. Gáylord continued to dominate despite
the crowd remaining on his back but it wasn't enough to
put El Ligero away as the Mexican Sensation stayed alive
throughout the contest. With the crowd cheering him on,
he was able to mount a comeback against Gáylord
that culminated in him going for his finish C4L DDT but
MasterPlan's Bubblegum ran down to the ring to break it
up and ultimately costing Ligero the Number One Contendership
with his Butterfly Collection Suplex, much to the disgust
of the GPW faithful but now William Gáylord is
the No.1 Contender to the GPW Heavyweight Title.

Match: Prof. Mike Holmes vs. Fox Carter
Fox Drops Holmes
Mike Holmes' comedy routine worked for a couple of minutes
here against the intense Fox Carter but it wasn't long
before he came unstuck. He had the crowd ralleighing behind
him in the opening exchanges but when Fox took control
of the match, it was as good as over. After just 5 minutes
and a mistake by Holmes, Fox was able to hit him with
his CDT from the second turnbuckle and it was game over
very quickly for the Professor.

MiTB:
Hope vs. Walker vs. Gallagher vs. Kirby vs. Kraze vs.
Roberts
Kirby's Bank Balance, On The Up!
In the first ever GPW 6 Man Money In The Bank match it
was a close call as to who would walk away with the right
to challenge any champion at any time for up to 12 months
after. All men went close in the early going as Head Official
Mike Fitzgerald did a good job of officiating the contest
and enforcing the "one in one out" rule. However,
with that amount of bodies at ringside, these kinds of
contests could really do with two officials as Fitzgerald
lost control of the match and the rules went out of the
window! The crowd went wild as Danny Hope risked life
and limb and dived over the top rope onto his foes on
the outside taking each one of them out. Dylan was next
to throw himself from the top turnbuckle and onto the
mass of bodies below. It was all in vein though as the
pinfall win went to Kirby as he got the 1.2,3 after 11
minutes of action over Cameron Kraze.

Title Match: Paradise Lost vs. Vitamin C
Another One Bites The Dust...
Vitamin C were full of vigour and energy on their entrance
to the ring, but that didn't last long as the tag team
champions made their entrance immediately attacked their
opponents delivering a vicious beatdown to both members.
Once the bell had rang, Heresy and LeVay had isolated
Xander Cooper as the beating continued. Quick tags from
the champs reminded the audience exactly why they are
the Trophy holders. The unhinged Kastor LeVay was let
loose on Cooper as he scratched and clawed at his skin
delivering a beating that Cooper has never had before.
Cooper showed some signs of life however as he fired back
on Heresy only to be cut off seconds later.
As a sign of dominance, Heresy mocked the challengers
by throwing Cooper into his own corner and begging him
to make the tag to his partner. Cooper did and in came
Clinch with a house of fire, ducking under Heresy clothesline
attempt and unloading on LeVay. He sprang back into action
to deliver more blows to Heresy but when he turned round,
he was caught in the Monster Spear by Kastor and it was
game over for Vitamin C, with 4 minutes on the clock,
Heresy and LeVay hooked clinch up in Hell Bound and delivered
the final nail in the coffin. But they weren't done there
though. Following the win, Heresy had a few choice words
for the crowd. He reminded them that Paradise Lost had
disposed of The Young Offenders, Roberts & Valour,
The Mystics, The Eastern Bloc, Ricky J. McKenzie, Sam
Bailey and now Vitamin C. He called out Miss North West
and RJM valet, Rebecca Jayne to tell the crowd what "she's
really like", With his intimidating presence, Heresy
yelled at Miss North West to tell the audience who had
pushed her through the curtain in September of last year.
In tears and clearly upset, she replied "You did"
revealing that Heresy had lied about who had done it and
had had RJM suspended for no reason. He laughed as he
and LeVay taunted her some more, but help was on its way.
Little did they know McKenzie was in the building and
RJM came running to his valet's rescue and chased off
her antagonises. With the Champs licking their wounds
on the outside, McKenzie and Miss North West shocked the
world with a passionate embrace and kiss. With McKenzie
back, this one is far from over.

Event: Bubblegum vs. Joey Hayes GPW: "Back With A
Bang", February 2011Main Event: Bubblegum vs. Joey
Hayes
Dirk Casts Doubt Over Joey
In a wonderful main event steeped in history that had
the fans on the edge of their seats throughout we were
robbed of a clean result.
So much history between Bubblegum and Joey through the
SIN feuds and CC8 feuds of the past, it was the first
time these two men had met where the fans had not been
behind Bubblegum. Infact, it was quite the opposite as
not one member of the audience even looked like cheering
him. Tonight they were staunch Joey Hayes supporters.
The two launched at each other with kicks and strikes
as the bell rang but it was Bubblegum who tried to get
himself DQ'd from the match after involving his bodyguard
Jason Logan in proceedings. His attempts were unsuccessful
and they backfired when Head Official, Mike Fitzgerald
ejected Logan from ringside. Whilst he thought his plan
had worked, at the announcement Bubblegum cringed when
he realised it was Logan heading for an early shower and
not him,.Joey took his chance at getting back into the
match where he had been hampered since the start by laying
into Bubblegum, but it wasn't enough to finish him off.
The two trading high risk moves and stiff blows but there
was neither of them could finish the other off, that was
until MasterPlan leader, Dirk Feelgood appeared through
the crowd and still with cast on his hand, struck Joey
knocking him out cold and gifting the match to Bubblegum.
The crowd went wild, El Ligero came to the aid of Joey
but it was too late. Ths issue is far from settled
NWRL: Suzuki & Action vs. Blonde Jovi
Unlucky Action First To Be Eliminated
In the first North West Rookie League challenge it was
a captains tag team match. As Axl Rage chose to partner
with J.D Sassoon, Former GPW Tag Team Champion, The Great
Suzuki chose Action Jackson to be in his corner and it
was a promising start by the rookie and the pro as Axl
and Sassoon were bounced all over the ring. Action impressed
with his plucky, never say die attitude but learnt a valuable
lesson after a mistake that let Axl and Sassoon back into
the match and ended up isolating him from his partner
Suzuki. This was unfortunately the teams downfall as even
despite coming back into the match for a short period,
Axl utilised his team members on the outside as Jackson
was thrown outside to the imposing Jason Logan who rammed
his shoulder into the steel of the turnbuckle for Axl
to capitalise with a shoulder breaker making it impossible
for Action to get his shoulder up on the pin. Action Jackson
has now been eliminated from the North West Rookie League,
but i'm sure the issue won't end there...!
